“And Now… the Wolverine!” is the first extended appearance of Wolverine. (The character first appeared in the final panel of the story in The Incredible Hulk #180.) Wolverine would later join the X-Men feature, where he became the most prominent cast member. The character was originally designed by scriptwriter Len Wein and Marvel art director John Romita.
